CANFEST, Reno’s Original International Canned Beer Festival, will return to Reno for its ninth annual event on Aug. 26, 2017. Dedicated to giving canned beer from around the world the spotlight it deserves, CANFEST is an unlimited tasting festival for beers poured exclusively from cans.

The event will offer more than 100 international canned beers to sample, many of which are available in northern Nevada exclusively for one night at CANFEST. Award-winning breweries from around the world participate. The event will also feature live performances from local artists like Steel Breeze, a silent disco, local vendors, raffles, and more.

“CANFEST is one of the best nights of the year for craft beer lovers from Reno and surrounding areas,” said Constance Aguilar, co-producer of CANFEST. “It’s a blast of a party—and a chance to squash any negative stigma surrounding canned beer. Reno locals appreciate our local craft beer selections, and we are passionate about bringing other cities’ craft beer scene to Reno.”

A portion of CANFEST’s proceeds also benefit local non-profit partner, The Reno Bike Project, in order to support its two-wheeled mission to create a cycling-friendly community through education, cooperation, and advocacy. The event offers four hours of beer-sampling and live music to general admission and student attendees.

CANFEST will take place on Aug. 26, 2017, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino, returning to where CANFEST started. Tickets can be purchased at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino and at Craft Wine & Beer. Tickets will also be available at the door the day of the event.

About CANFEST: CANFEST, Reno’s Original International Canned Beer Festival, is dedicated to giving canned beer from around the world the attention it deserves. The annual event aims to raise awareness of the awesomeness of canned beer, and to raise awareness and benefit local nonprofit and community partner, The Reno Bike Project.
