PHOTOS: Bremen Town Musicians for Bruka’s Theatre for Children

Date:

A Grimm tale that will bring a smile to your face and entertain your children.

For 24 years Bruka Theatre has been entertaining and educating children with a traveling theater group. This season they are presenting an adaptation of the Grimm Brothers tale “Bremen Town Musicians.”

I was certainly entertained when I saw this production, and the full house of children were as well. The mix of entertainment and education was very well balanced and the audience participation kept the kids engaged.

“Bremen Town Musicians” follows the adventures of a donkey, a dog, a cat, and a rooster cast out from their long-time home by the financially down-on-his-luck farmer. The unlikely quartet find a common interest in music and decide to use their talents to help the farmer save the farm. This is a happy story performed by actors who love teaching and performing for their audience.

There is no doubt that the cast is passionate about their craft and very skilled as well.

The Cast:

  • Mary Bennett
  • Hannah Davis
  • Carrie Lynn
  • David Simpson

This show takes to the road, performing in schools and libraries throughout the area in partnership with Pioneer Youth Programs.

I recommend this show for the entire family. Visit http://www.bruka.org/ for more information. Check out the photos below for a small taste of what you will see.
