Need a last-minute Valentine for your special someone? How about a romantic Mexican getaway without ever leaving Reno with celebrity Chef Clint Jolly’s Flavors of the Yucatán cooking class at Nothing To It Culinary Center in Reno.

Jolly just returned from a taste and research expedition into Mexico’s Yucatán in time to lead a hands-on master class at Nothing To It March 16, 2017 at 6 p.m.

“My trip to the Yucatán Peninsula and Quintana Roo was fascinating in its contrasts,” Jolly said. “From the Mayan architecture, aging gracefully in place to the culture revealed in the cuisine with the tantalizing flavors only found in this region, the Yucatán culture continues to influence us today.”

Jolly said he traveled extensively through the region, visiting cultural heritage sites to village street fairs, beaches to bakeries and fine restaurants to family homes learning many more of the secrets to perfecting spice rubs and flavor combinations.

“We are thrilled to have Chef Clint at the Nothing To It Culinary Center to share his passion for the flavors of the Yucatan region of Mexico,” Chef Lara Ritchie, culinary director for Nothing To It Culinary Center, said. “Chef Clint’s culinary storytelling style will provide our foodies delicious instruction and a deeper understanding of the flavors of this peninsula region.”

There are still a few spots available for the class. Nothing To It offers a variety of classes from free lessons for beginners to offerings for kids and teens to hands-on master classes like Jolly’s each month.
