Tour de Nez has a few tricks up their sleeves for their 25th anniversary. Get ready for noses, food trucks, live music, of course cycling, and even the addition of a foot race this year! The date for Tour de Nez has officially been released as Saturday, June 10, 2017.

This year Tour de Nez celebrates its 25th anniversary by moving from California Avenue back to downtown Reno, with the start and finish at Wingfield Park at South Arlington Avenue.

“Wingfield Park will be the ideal spot for all members of our community to enjoy the race,” said Executive Director of Tour De Nez Bubba Melcher. “We want our 25th year to be the year we make a difference in the Reno community.”

The park will provide families a home base to relax and enjoy the race, while also getting a scenic view of the Truckee River. Also different from last year, there will be a variety of food trucks available with several bands performing throughout the day so the crowd can rock out to some live music.

“Where else can you watch a bike race while simultaneously listening to live music and consuming mouth watering cuisine from food trucks alongside your family and friends? The answer is, only at the Tour de Nez race in Reno,” said Melcher.

The race starts at 7:30 a.m. and will go into the evening. Tour de Nez offers over $12,500 in cash prizes for select winners. Registration opens March 10, 2017 and closes June 10, 2017.
