Wild Garlic Pizza & Pub invites art and food lovers to its newest location to enjoy a unique pizza and art event, dubbed Pizzart, benefiting in part Slow Food Lake Tahoe, Thursday, August 18, between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Attendees of Pizzart will enjoy passed hors d’oeuvres including Wild Garlic’s famed pizza bites and garlic knots, plus one adult beverage per person for $10. Most importantly, guests will have the opportunity to view an art exhibit hosted by Wild Garlic featuring work by local artist Beau Kissler.

“We are honored to showcase local artist Beau Kissler, for our third quarterly Pizzart event,” said Wild Garlic, owner Dean Christopher. “Between the legendary food and drinks people have come to know Wild Garlic for and the amazing art featured at each event, Pizzart has become a local’s favorite, just as we thought.”

A portion of this quarter’s Pizzart event will benefit Slow Food Lake Tahoe, with the mission to connect the community with the enjoyment of good, clean and fair food by inspiring a self-reliant food culture. They educate the community about growing, preparing, and accessing local and sustainable food.

“We love to help spread the word about high quality food, and we try to use as many local food ingredients as much as we can, and if we can help spread the word about this great movement, by showing people a good time and giving back at the same time, well there’s nothing better than that.” said Christopher.

Featured artists change quarterly for each season’s Pizzart event, with dates to be released at a later time.

Nestled in the heart of downtown Reno, Pizzart will take place at Wild Garlic’s newest location, 170 S. Virginia Street, Suite 103, adjacent to the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts.
