The Nevada Department of Transportation announced today that nighttime construction at the spaghetti bowl — I-580 and U.S. 395 — begins Tuesday, August 23, 2016.
There will be lane closures at night during construction.
“Lanes will be reduced on I-580/U.S. 395 through the spaghetti bowl between approximately 9 pm and 5 am Sunday evenings through Friday mornings. The construction-related lane closures will take place this fall and next spring. Periodic, overnight spaghetti bowl ramp closures will also take place as part of construction, with marked detour routes available. A minimum of one lane will always be available in both directions of interstate,” according to NDOT Public Information Officer Meg Ragonese.
The project is resurfacing the five bridges at the bowl.
