One of Northern Nevada’s easiest (and tastiest) fundraisers is back. Dining Out For Life is April 28.

Dining Out For Life (DOFL) is Northern Nevada HOPES’ biggest annual fundraiser held to support people living with HIV in our local area. More than 40 restaurants across Reno, Sparks and Carson City are donating a portion of their proceeds from certain meals on April 28 to help fight HIV.

To find out what restaurants are participating go to doflnv.org.

DOFL is an easy way for Reno residents to support local businesses and contribute to an important cause. Diners just go to one of the participating restaurants on April 28, and a portion of their bill will automatically be donated to HOPES.

Money raised from the event goes to HIV treatment, support services, housing assistance, as well as HIV testing and outreach. Though DOFL is an international effort to fight HIV, all the money raised in Northern Nevada will go to helping people who live locally.

HOPES would like to thank its local sponsors for supporting DOFL, including A&H Insurance, Bank Of America, Merrill Lynch, Grand Canyon University, Renown Health, Tahoe Blue Vodka, Morrey Distributing Company, MAC Cosmetics, Pacific States Communications, NAE, Yelp Reno and Subaru.

Northern Nevada HOPES is a nonprofit community health center located in downtown Reno, Nevada. HOPES started out in 1997 as a clinic focused on providing quality and compassionate care to people living with HIV. After expanding in 2012, HOPES now provides integrated medical and wellness services to more than 6,000 people in Northern Nevada. Services offered include adult and pediatric primary care, chronic disease management, behavioral health counseling, substance use counseling, case management, nutrition, pharmacy, transportation, and community outreach and education. HOPES is improving access to care for the underserved by offering a range of innovative, low-barrier healthcare services, all under one roof.
