I-580 Southbound Construction Begins

Date:

i-580 constructionThe Nevada Department of Transportation is resuming Interstate-580 southbound construction on March 28, 2016. Lanes and ramps will periodically close at night on I-580 south of the spaghetti bowl.

The closures will take place on lanes and ramps Sunday through Thursday evenings between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.

The work is scheduled to be completed in the summer.

“For more than a year, we have been making improvements to I-580, and this is the final construction season for those improvements,” said NDOT Resident Engineer Sam Lompa. “We want to thank all drivers for their patience with these important improvements. Both the highly-visible and behind-the-scenes enhancements made as part of this project will make for a safer and smoother road for decades to come.”

Motorists are asked to drive safely through construction zones. Project information and road closure details are available at I580project.com or by dialing 1-844-888-ROAD.
