Sheriff Deputies Arrest Alleged Golden Valley Burglar

Deputies from the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office have apprehended a suspect in a residential burglary that occurred of the 3000 block of Running Bear Lane in Golden Valley January 13, 2016.

The homeowner reported the burglary at approximately 1:00 p.m. after finding his home ransacked and the suspect still on the scene. After a physical altercation, the suspect fled on foot.

When they arrived on the scene, Washoe County deputies set up a perimeter and received assistance from the Sheriff’s RAVEN helicopter and Washoe County K9 units. The collaborative effort swiftly located several pieces of evidence and apprehended the suspect at a residence on a nearby street.

The suspect has been identified as a male juvenile. He was booked into Jan Evans Juvenile Detention Facility.
