A new light art installation was installed today at the Wingfield Park Amphitheater. The artist, Scott Morgan, and Reno City Councilwoman Naomi Duerr talk about the project in the video, below.

“Arts and culture are important aspects of our community,” said Duerr, also a liaison to the City of Reno Arts & Culture Commission. “We’re excited to be showcasing local talent, and we encourage the whole community to come out and enjoy this spectacular piece of public art.”

The sculpture will be on display through March of 2016.

Went down to Wingfield Park to see the light chimes. Unfortunately our visit and enjoyment was cut short by a man hanging in the stage area yelling and screaming like a wild animal. We left once he started coming towards us. It’s nice that Reno has this but too bad we can’t enjoy it.
