southern-living cookbookUntil December 31st, Dillard’s is selling their Southern Living cookbooks for the eighth straight year. All proceeds will be donated to local non-profit, Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern Nevada.
Books can be purchased from the Dillard’s at The Summit or online. The cookbook only costs $10 and features popular southern breakfast, dinner, appetizer and aperitif recipes from the Southern Living magazine. Two additional special occasion recipes and decorating ideas have been included, too.
“This partnership boils down to family happiness,” said Scott Smith, store manager at Dillard’s. “The recipes are designed to bring comfort to people, and the proceeds help families stay together and alleviate the stress of wondering where they’ll stay, how they’ll pay for it, and what they’ll eat.”
Dillard’s will also be hosting cooking demonstrations for shoppers on Saturday, December 5th, and Saturday, December 12th, at 1:00 p.m. Butcher’s Boy Meats and The Couture Closet will also be offering the cookbook while supplies last.
“Our guests consistently reference that the Chef Program, where volunteers come to cook a meal for families, is their favorite part of their stay at the House,” said Marty Ozer, executive director for Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern Nevada. “This will allow you to bring some amazing smells and tastes to your own family while helping a family in need at the same time. Plus, they make lovely holiday gifts for a good cause.”
