Reno’s Alleged Tie in “The Zola Story” (NSFW)

UPDATE (Nov. 4, 2015): The Washington Post reported on this today, confirming much of the story and adding new details about what happened in Reno.

It’s been taking the Internet by storm for a few days, and our site stats jumped as a result.

The Zola Story, as it’s been called — and covered by media all over the place — is a fascinating tale of a stripping odyssey gone wrong. (Apparently it is only one version of actual events.)

“Zola,” or Aziah King, wrote of a “Z” character in the Twitter narrative.

“What I did—- It was clear this all happened in like March/April of this year,” wrote one Pizza_PartyUSA. “I just looked up any arrest that dealt with prostitution in Reno (Jess mentioned Reno in her interview– THANKS JESS!!!) Without that, I would have never found anything.”

Further:

“Shortly after they leave FL (and Zola and Jarrett went back to MI) it looks like Jess stayed along for some more fun. My theory is that they end up in Reno (duh). People have been watching them. Police run a sting and manage to grab both Z and his 5 or 6, whatever, girls he had with him there.

“So my Z is arrested Reno, partially for pandering (aka pimping). Also sexual assault. This happens very soon after their Florida trip. The will NOT be releasing the girls’ names. These arrests happened pretty much back-to-back, so I at the very least believed that they are involved with one another. Shit, losing train of thought again..

“Right now, ‘My’ Z is currently in jail, awaiting trial (something Jess agreed with). It’s been postponed several times. It even looked like he assaulted a fellow prisoner back in July. OHHH Z. He had a previous arrest in MI. I can’t remember… I think it’s for assault or something? Whatever, you should be able to find it in the links.”

And that’s where ThisisReno comes in. We identified the person back in our April 5 crime report.

According to Pizza_PartyUSA:

Right here, the only think I know for CERTAIN is the person whose links I am sharing with you all is named: Akporode Uwedjojevwe. I think his middle name is Oghenoc. ….

soooo….

Sure enough, Uewdjojevwe was arrested on multiple accounts in April of this year, including pandering of an adult and sexual assault of a victim over 16.

The Jess in the Zola story later confirmed that a Nigerian was arrested in Reno.

But what happened with Z getting arrested? And what’s his real name?
I do know his real name, but I can’t say it because he was arrested and is awaiting sentencing and legally I’m not allowed to talk about that. It’s actually not anything even close to Z. He was arrested in Reno, Nev. for something completely different. The only thing I can confirm is that he is a very large black man and he is 100 percent Nigerian.”

Another person makes the claim, on Twitter, that Uwedjojevwe is “Z.”

County records show him in and out of court through August. A jury trial was schedule originally for August but has been moved to January 2016.

While it’s probably a good idea to be skeptical of Twitter narratives and Reddit sleuthing and this story in general, if any of it is true, it’s quite possible Reno’s tie is legit.

Read the tale below, but, warning, it’s #NSFW.
