VIDEO: Weekly Art Fix (Oct. 14): 3 Events to Check Out This Week

Date:

Last weekend was very busy, starting with Deep Dark Delicious at RAW and ending with the Salon 7 Halloween Party.

Reno Art Works present Deep Dark Delicious – Group Art Show
There was plenty of dark art just right for the energy of this month. I was very impressed with the quality and diversity of the art that was presented. With over 20 artists represented, this was a very fun night and was very well attended. If you have the time I recommend stopping by RAW on Dickerson road and check out the Dark Art that is showing. The show will be open for the rest of the month.

Reno Art Works is fronted by the very industrious and talented Aric Shapiro. Providing a place for artists to create and show their work RAW is a force to be aware of in the growing Reno art scene.

Salon 7 – Halloween Party
What a great party for a great cause, proceeds benefited Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Foundation and the JustIN Hope Foundation. There was so many wonderful costumes and creative makeup as well as a fashion show. Having fun and raising money for a good cause is something Salon 7 has been doing every year with different themed parties; this year was a Halloween party and was so much fun. Instead of me rambling on I will just invite you to watch the video (above).
