Regional law enforcement conducted on Saturday an underage alcohol compliance campaign. It resulted in only one citation.
The campaign was funded by federal grants through Join Together Northern Nevada.
Two 20-year-old volunteers and one 19-year-old tried to purchase alcohol at 23 locations. In each case, the volunteers provided their state issued IDs, showing their actual age, if they were asked for it.
Only one bar sold alcohol to underage volunteers and was cited: The 5 Star Saloon at 132 West Street.
