The Great Reno Balloon Race (GRBR) is holding its a kickoff charity event at Rounds Bakery to benefit the Veterans Guest House.
The event is Saturday, Aug. 15 from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Two hot-air balloons will be at the Rounds Bakery parking lot. Attendees can make a $5 donation to the Veterans Guest House for a tethered ride.
“We are excited to kickoff this year’s event by partnering with Rounds Bakery to raise money and awareness for the Veterans Guest House,” says GRBR’s Executive Director Pete Copeland. “The Veterans Guest House has been a long-time sponsor of The Great Reno Balloon Race, and an invaluable nonprofit in our community. Rounds Bakery, another Great Reno Balloon Race sponsor, has partnered with us on this endeavor, as they too share the same fondness for the Veterans Guest House.”
The Veterans Guest House is a nonprofit that provides military families with medical support when in need.
