Giving Circle Awards $65,535 to Eddy House

Date:

The Nevada Women’s Fund (NWF) Giving Circle has awarded $65,535 to the Eddy House for their Youth Resource Center. This money will provide impoverished youth with the specialized services they require to meet their basic needs.

“The YOU walk-in center serves our community’s most vulnerable youth,” said Marie Baxter, executive director of The Eddy House.  “Each week nearly 200 young women and men walk through our door seeking both care and comfort services and access to specialized services.  The multi-year gift from the Nevada Women’s Fund Giving Circle is an investment that will make a difference to teens and young adults who live on the streets, couch surf, and/or live in weekly hotels, who are grateful to have a safe place to connect with services and meet their basic needs. We are grateful for the support.”

“We are excited to support a great cause that empowers independence and self-sufficiency for community youth,” said Nancy Cashell of the NWF Giving Circle.
