Hot August Nights returns Friday, July 31, 2015 and runs through August 9. The event starts in Virginia City and continues in Reno-Sparks.
More than 6,000 classic cars are expected to partake in events such as cruises, drag races and burnouts, a swap meet, fireworks and AutoCross.
Circus Circus Reno is hosting a Show & Shine on Monday August 3 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., hosting hotrods competing in these classes: Best in Class—Modified, Original, Best Overall Truck and Best Overall Car.
“Nothing makes me prouder than seeing northern Nevada’s streets filled with classic cars and lined with smiling faces during the event and knowing that our volunteers, sponsors and staff helped bring everyone in the car-loving community together,” said Hot August Nights Executive Director Tony Marini.
Music acts include Papa Doo Run Run; Lil’ Elmo and the Cosmos; Blood, Sweat & Tears; Hotel California “A Salute to the Eagles;” Paperback Writer “The Beatles Experience;” Sonny Turner’s Platters; and Herman’s Hermits starring Peter Noone.
