It’s now official. The City of Reno has a new logo and new re-branding campaign.

RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com & KRNV) — The Reno City Council unanimously approved a new logo and re-branding campaign.

Mayor Hillary Schieve said she campaigned on a promise to create a new brand for the city signifying new energy and new life. The approval makes good on that promise.

She said it embraces Reno’s past and bright future. She explained the logo is fashioned after the old Reno arch of the 1960s.

She said, “People like nostalgia. That was one of the things we really liked about this, you know. The arch was super popular back in the ’60s when things were hustling and bustling. I think Reno is about to embark on that again.”
