RTC Holding Meeting on Changes to Virginia Street in Midtown and at UNR

Date:

rtc_meeting-4-of-4-300x225-1671303-4662273It’s time once again to share your comments and ideas for the future of Virginia Street in Midtown and along the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR).

The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) is inviting the public to a community workshop on the proposed designs for the Virginia Street Bus RAPID Transit Extension Project.

The last open meeting drew consternation from bike advocates and those advocating for more pedestrian traffic.

The alternatives being presented at this meeting include improvements for Virginia Street in Midtown from Plumb Lane to Liberty Street and near UNR from Maple Street to 15th Street.

The meeting is June 18, 2015 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Discovery Museum at 490 South Center Street.

Visit the project’s website at www.virginiastreetRAPIDextension.com for information.

RTC RAPID serves the Discovery Museum location. For eligible RTC ACCESS reservations call (775) 348-5438. Pursuant to Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act, special accommodations may be requested by calling (775) 348-0480 at least 48 hours in advance of the meeting.
