The Junior League of Reno is hosting its second annual Derby Day fundraiser on May 2 at 12 p.m. The Junior of League of Reno is a not‐for‐profit organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women, and improving our community.
This year’s proceeds will directly impact the Junior League of Reno’s “Healthy for All” projects in the community. The League actively educates, advocates, and provides programming focused around three community-based issue areas: ending human trafficking, increasing accessibility for children with disabilities, and improving access to and education about nutrition to fight childhood obesity.
This year’s fundraiser is called Juleps, Jockeys and Jazz Derby Day. It will be held at Hidden Valley Country Club. Sponsorship levels start at $1,000 and individual tickets are $67 for the public. Derby Day will once again offer many exciting silent auction items, to include golf packages, home improvement/decor baskets, and many health/beauty/fitness related baskets.
Tickets can be purchased by calling 775-826-0445 or emailing [email protected]. For more information about Junior League of Reno and how it supports the local community, visit www.jlreno.org.
