Hose Master announced today the opening of a new manufacturing plant that fabricates metal hoses in Sparks. The company plans to bring up to 30 jobs to the area.

The announcement took place at the EDAWN Community Luncheon & Economic Update held at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa.

Hose Master manufactures and fabricates custom, hose assemblies and expansion joints that are used in a variety of applications. Hose Master creates custom products specifically designed for each application, and opening a plant in the Reno area is an important step in this strategy, the company said.

The company originally opened in 1982 and was the first hose company in the U.S. to be ISO certified. The company has other sites in Cleveland, Houston and Atlanta.

Anthony Foti, company vice president, said, “The new Sparks plan allows us to be strategically located to better meet the demand of our West Coast customers and help us to grow our business. Lower operating costs and a business-friendly environment were also key factors in our decision to move to Northern Nevada.”
