On Tuesday, January 6, 2015, after deliberating for eight hours, a jury found Elton Castine, guilty of burglary, assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a controlled substance.
On September 13, 2014, police responded to a call of shots being fired outside the Fantasy Girls strip club in Reno.
An investigation showed that Castine had attacked his wife while she was in a vehicle at the Fantasy Girls’ parking lot. He pointed a handgun at her head and then fled. Witnesses described hearing gunshots before Castine fled in another vehicle.
He was found in possession of heroin upon being arrested
Deputy District Attorney Darcy Cameron said that Castine could face up to 20 years in the Nevada State Prison at the time of sentencing, which is set for March 4, 2015.
