On December 13, 2014 Officers with RGU conducted surveillance of possible locations of the suspects. At about 3 pm one of the suspects was observed exiting a residence in the 6400 block of Sharlands Avenue and get into a vehicle. RGU Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and two suspects were detained. The driver of the vehicle gave Officers permission to search the vehicle, and subsequently located a large amount of narcotics, and two concealed handguns in the car. The residence that the suspects were observed leaving was also searched, with more drugs and an AK-47 assault rifle being located.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as 19 year old Tyler Neilson (DOB 05/25/95) and was arrested for Carrying a Concealed Weapon (CCW). The primary suspect in the shootings was also arrested and identified as 19 year old Reno resident Bradley Lujan (07/05/95). He was charged with numerous counts of Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Discharge of a Firearm in a Public Place, Robbery and several drug offenses.

The Regional Gang Unit and UNR PD are asking for anyone with additional information about the case to contact RGU at (775) 334-3852, or Secret Witness at (775) 322-4900, www.secretwitness.com, or text the tip to 847411 (TIP 411) keyword – SW.
