Celebrate New Year’s Day with First Day Hike at Washoe Lake. First Day Hike is a one-mile round-trip hike up to the gazebo on the Deadman’s Creek trail on Thursday, January 1, 2015 at 1 p.m.
This hike will last approximately 1.5 hours and is an easy to moderately strenuous hike. Please dress warm and wear good hiking shoes.
Hikers meet at the Overflow parking area. Turn left at the park entrance and park in the first parking area on the right.

Miriam Hodgman is originally from San Francisco. She previously was the communications coordinator for the largest hunger-relief organization in Sonoma County, California. She has a bachelor’s degree in American history, with a minor in American Indian studies, from San Francisco State University, and has a master’s degree in public administration from Sonoma State University. She enjoys training a variety of martial arts.
