Officers with the Reno Police Department have been authorized by Chief of Police, Steve Pitts, and his Executive Staff to participate in the Department’s own version of “Mo-Vember”. Because Officers are already authorized to grow mustaches, for the month of November Officers will be allowed to grow goatees for “Go-vember.”

In an effort to raise money for the Prostate Cancer Foundation and the Livestrong Foundation, Officers who want to grow a goatee will donate a minimum of $20 in order to participate.

The citizens of Reno are encouraged to help the Reno Police Departments efforts to donate money to men’s health foundations. For more details please visit the Movember Foundation at http://us.movember.com for more information and foundations.
