Police make arrest in hit-and-run case

By ThisIsReno

On November 19, 2014, at approximately 5:30 p.m., a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Airway between Longley and S McCarran. The accident occurred in the northbound lanes of Airway. Because of environmental factors it is possible the driver of the vehicle may not know they were involved in an accident.

Witnesses believe a light colored SUV may be involved. The Reno Police Department is asking for anyone who traveled on this stretch of roadway, during this time frame, to check their vehicle for damage. We anticipate the vehicle involved will have front end damage.

Anyone who has any information regarding this accident is encouraged to contact the Reno Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team at 745-3735, 691-5036 or Secret Witness at 322-4900, www.secretwitness.com, or text the tip to 847411 (TIP)
