The Reno Fire Department is selling the shirts for $10 each, with the proceeds benefiting Moms on the Run, a nonprofit organization in Reno. Moms on the Run assists local breast and gynecological cancer patients during their treatments.
“Supporting our local citizens and charities is very important to us,” Fire Equipment Operator Brandon Blackbern says. “We also recognize Autism Awareness Month during April with special shirts.”
For more information, or to purchase a shirt, call Blackbern at 775-544-1926 or email him at [email protected]. The Reno Fire Department will be working a booth and taking shirt orders at the Susan G. Komen Northern Nevada Race for the Cure on October 5, 2014 at Grand Sierra Resort.
The custom pink shirts were printed by Think Ink & Thread, located on 745 East Greg Street in Sparks. For more information about Think Ink & Thread, visit thinkinkandthread.com or call 775-846-4070.
