On September 9, 2014 at officers responded to the area of Vassar and Kirman on the report of a stabbing.
Upon arrival, officers located a 48-year-old male who suffered a life-threatening stab wound. The victim was transported to Renown where he succumbed to his injury.
Upon further investigation it was determined that four male juvenile suspects encountered the victim while on foot and began yelling from across the street. The suspects walked across the street towards the victim, when a fight ensued.
One of the suspects then stabbed the victim. All suspects fled Northbound on foot toward Wonder Street.
The investigation is continuing and the victim’s name is being withheld until the next of kin is notified.
