Executive director of Builders Association of Northern Nevada steps down

Date:

mikedillonAfter ten years with “The Builders,” Mike Dillon, executive director of the Builders Association of Northern Nevada (BANN) is stepping down to focus on his health insurance agency and major challenges facing Nevadans with the changes to the Affordable Care Act (ACA).

“At the helm during the most devastating economic recession our state has ever seen, Dillon’s leadership has helped Nevada’s building and construction industry rebound and move forward as a primary economic driver for our community,” said Teresa Di Loreto, BANN President.

Di Loreto added, “Mike has worked tirelessly to collaborate with the Nevada Legislature, Washoe County, the Cities of Reno and Sparks, other regional agencies, and the educational community to leave a lasting legacy that will benefit ‘The Builders’ for years to come.”

Chartered in 1956, the Builders Association of Northern Nevada (BANN), advocates of housing and housing choices, represents and serves as the voice of the building industry. BANN is committed to education, information, representation, and benefits to our membership, community, and the building industry.

This is achieved by being a pro-active participant in the legislative and regulatory process, by promoting responsible growth practices, by enhancing ethical and professional standards, and by promoting a positive vision and economic future for the community we serve.

“Working with a talented team, an outstanding board and leading an industry I truly believe in, we have achieved more than I could have hoped for, and more,” Dillon said. “The Builders Association is really well positioned for the future, and I look forward to continue to develop exclusive insurance programs for its members and advocate for BANN with State and Local government entities, and our community.”

“The Builders Association of Northern Nevada and its nearly 500 members representing 15,000 working families in Northern Nevada play a critical role in building the great community we all enjoy in Northern Nevada,” Dillon stated.

The Builders Association of Northern Nevada is the “voice” of the building industry in the region. Chartered in 1956, The Builders is a non-profit entity affiliated with the National Association of Home Builders and is committed to providing education, information, representation and benefits to their membership. As the residential construction industry, association members significantly contribute to the success of the local economy.
