Sundance Books and Music is hosting an event with the Reno Bike Project on Thursday, September 4, 5 pm – 9 pm. The purpose of the event is to raise awareness and funds for the Bike Project’s Major Taylor Ride Club – an after-school club that uses bicycling as a tool to teach at-risk youth about physical fitness, nutrition, bike maintenance, setting and meeting goals, cycling safety, and the environmental benefits of bikes.
The event will take place in Sundance Books and Music’s front yard and will feature a talk and book signing by Grant Petersen—the legendary bike designer and author of Just Ride. Other highlights include a family fun bike ride; live music by CW and Mr. Spoons; and refreshments from New Belgium Brewing, Bibo Freddo, and Still Rollin’ Food Truck.
