Festive “Party in the Garden” benefits arboretum

May Arboretum’s third annual “Party in the Garden,” to enjoy live jazz performed by the Scott Marshall Quartet, hors d’oeuvres from Little House Restaurant, Rounds Bakery desserts, beer from Silver Peak Brewery and wine from Whispering Vine.

Set in the beautiful English cottage-style Burke Garden, this special summer evening event benefits the May Arboretum Endowment Fund. The fund will help protect, preserve, and support the operations of the Arboretum and Botanical Garden for future generations.

The 3rd annual “Party in the Garden” is Saturday, August 16, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event’s location is at Burke Garden, Wilbur D. May Arboretum, Rancho San Rafael Regional Park 1595 N. Sierra Street, Reno. Admission is $50.00 before August 14, or $60.00 after August 14 and at the door.

She has a bachelor’s degree in American history, with a minor in American Indian studies, from San Francisco State University, and has a master’s degree in public administration from Sonoma State University. She enjoys training a variety of martial arts.
