Holland Project and Crush Hair Studio host fashion show

Date:

fashion-show-323x500-5330369-9585297The Holland Project and Crush Hair Studio are hosting an Album-Inspired Fashion Show on Saturday, June 7, 8:00 pm at the Holland Project, 140 Vesta St.

The Holland Project’s first fashion show, Space for Space (outer-spaced themed), served as one of their first major fundraisers.

This music-themed fashion show will focus on amateur designers with big vision. Designers range in age from teen to young adults and were given the opportunity to choose a model to show off their designs, as well as an album they wished to use. Album choices ranged from classic 60s/70s rock, indie rock, hip hop and more.

Crush Hair Studio will be on-hand to help designers make editorial looks by assisting with hair and make-up. Each model will walk a special runway route through Holland, accompanied by a live DJ and video projection.

“A fashion show was one of Holland’s seminal events—it changed everything for us as an organization in 2007 and we’re thrilled to be able to produce another one that is perfectly aligned with the organization we’ve become. We’re excited to have such a great partner on this—Crush Hair Studio—and to be able to showcase an awesome and diverse mix of designers of all-ages and musical and artistic tastes,” said Britt Curtis, Holland Project’s director.

Admission to event is $10 and proceeds will benefit the Holland Project.
