Jackson Katz’ documentary, Tough Guise II, was a hit on campus. The intriguing documentary was accompanied by a panel of passionate personnel who reinforced that we are the change we want to see in the world. The documentary Tough Guise II brought to light an epidemic of violence caused by our views of masculinity. What it really mean’s to be a “tough guy,” is being questioned. This tough guy persona has lead to mass murders and increased violence in our society. The documentary and the panel made University of Nevada, Reno students question what media says about gender roles.
