WASHOE COUNTY NEWS RELEASE
The large multi-use pasture area in Rancho San Rafael Regional Park, also commonly known as the “off leash” dog area, gets more than its fair share of usage on any given day. Its popularity is apparent by the neglected dog waste, escaped plastic bags and chewed-up tennis balls left behind.
Park rangers are asking for the public’s help to do a sweep of the pasture area in preparation of warmer days ahead. Meet at 5 p.m. in the parking lot of the upper pasture entrance Thursday, March 13, for the first cleanup of the season. Plastic bags, latex gloves and shovels will be provided, and four-legged friends are welcome.
Rancho San Rafael Regional Park is managed by Washoe County’s Community Services Department. For more information, visit www.washoecountyparks.com.
