newgrandsierralogo-8292203-4527050GRAND SIERRA RESORT AND CASINO NEWS RELEASE – As part of its ongoing commitment to establish itself as the premier resort destination in northern Nevada, Grand Sierra Resort and Casino (GSR) announced, today, the name and opening date for its unprecedented new nightlife venue. LEX, a 25,000 square-foot, $15 million nightclub will rival the country’s top nightlife venues found in Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami and New York. With an adult, indoor pool, three full bars, 31 VIP tables and some of the top nightlife entertainment acts in the country, “elegance will become unruly” beginning this July.

“LEX is unlike anything this city has seen before and will change the way people think of Reno,” said Steve Rosen, president of GSR. “It’s critical for the area’s future success that the entire community views these types of investments and projects as assets that can and will benefit all of us. This venue will bring an entirely new customer to the market and we hope that creates an ongoing trend throughout the region.”

While specifics on LEX’s grand opening celebration will not be revealed until later this spring, GSR has promised, not only an unforgettable debut, but nightlife entertainment equivalent to what is found in other premier nightlife destinations around the country.

LEX is just the latest in a series of aggressive renovations and upgrades that GSR has made since 2012, which have totaled more than $30 million. In addition to the new nightclub, renovations have been made to a majority of the property’s more than 2,000 resort rooms, the casino floor and dining establishments. Last year, the property also introduced a brand new William Hill Race and Sports Book and luxury spa.

“We believe that Reno has a bright and prosperous future and it’s important for all of us to invest in creating a world-class community to live, work and play,” said Rosen. “We are confident that LEX, coupled with our other ongoing investments, will provide opportunity for our entire region.”
