1300123_fff2-2545680-6069776Reno Police Department officers responded to Plumb Lane and Hunter Lake Drive this morning on a report of a single-vehicle roll-over crash. They found a 2002 Subaru Forester on its side in the yard of a residence. Its sole occupant, a 52-year-old Reno resident, was unconscious inside.

REMSA and Reno Fire Department personnel attempted life-saving measures, but the driver died at the scene.

It appears the driver was traveling northbound on Hunter Lake Drive when he lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle left the roadway over the east curb line and came to rest at the residence.

It is unclear if the driver sustained a medical event or died as a result of the injuries he sustained in the crash. At this time alcohol and speed do not appear to be factors.

The name of the driver is being withheld pending notification of his next of kin. This investigation is ongoing and is currently being investigated by members of the Reno Police Department Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT). Anyone having information relating to this accident should contact the Reno Police Department at 334-2115, Secret Witness at 322-4900 or www.secretwitness.com, or text the tip to 847411 (TIP 411) keyword – SW.
