Date:

block_n-3301682-5956996The University of Nevada School of Medicine announced today that its pediatrics clinic will move from its current location near Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center to the Renown Regional Medical Center campus effective next week.

Thomas L. Schwenk, M.D., Dean of the School of Medicine, said the move is an opportunity for the pediatric faculty physicians to be closer to the Renown Children’s Hospital, so as to facilitate close working relationships with pediatric subspecialists and hospital pediatricians.
The clinic, including physicians James Winder, MD, pediatrician; Vincent Loffredo, MD, pediatrician; Anju Riar, MD, pediatrician; and Amanjit Dhatt, MD, allergist and immunologist, will begin seeing patients at their new location, 901 E. Second St., Suite 201, on Tuesday, Feb. 25.
The clinic will be closed Friday and Monday, Feb. 21 and 24 to accommodate the move and allow time for staff to set up the new spaces. Patients with acute medical situations over the closure dates may call the clinic at 775-784-6522 and be referred by the answering service to physicians for proper care.
Patient families have been notified of the clinic move as they call to make appointments, come into the office for an appointment and via the appointment phone call confirmation service. All current patients will be mailed letters regarding the office move.
Clinic office hours will remain Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the new location. The pediatric and allergy clinic phone number remains 775-784-6522 and is staffed from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
