Pack suffers third loss in a row; falls at home to Fresno State 75-67

  • Nevada is 12-13 overall and 7-5 in the Mountain West after dropping a 75-67 home game to Fresno State (12-13, 5-7 MW) tonight.
  • Nevada plays at second-place New Mexico (18-5, 9-2 MW) on Saturday at 3:05 p.m. PT.  The Lobos lost 71-70 at Boise State tonight.  The game will air on CBS Sports Network.
  • The Wolf Pack has lost a season-high three in a row.
  • The Pack is now fourth in the MW standings at 7-5.
  • Nevada is 6-6 at home this season.
  • Seniors Deonte Burton and Jerry Evans, Jr. tied for team-high honors with 14 points each.  It is the 18th time Burton has led the team in scoring and eighth time for Evans.  It is the second time the two tied for the honor as they both had 20 points against #19 UCLA.
  • Burton has scored in double figures in 24-of-25 games.
  • Burton missed his first seven free throws and was three-for-10 in the game.  The seven missed free throws is a career-high.  Previously he missed five versus Washington (9-of-14) his sophomore year and earlier this season against Chattanooga (8-of-13).
  • Nevada put four players in double figures for the 11th time this year; Burton (14), Evans (14), Michael Perez (11) and Cole Huff (10).  Nevada is 7-4 when four players score in double figures.
  • AJ West tied grabbed 10 rebounds to tie for game-high honors.  It is the seventh time he led the team in rebounding and his fourth double figure rebounding game of the season.
  • West had two blocks in the game and has 16 in the last five games.  In 10-of-14 games played he has two or more blocks.
  • Burton had four assists and moved past Billy Allen (1981-83) into third on Nevada’s career list with 471.  Ramon Sessions (2005-07) is second with 478.
  • Evans started his 100th career game and Burton number 123.
  • Head coach David Carter is 86-71 in his fifth season at Nevada.
