Reports of inappropriate touching at clinic lead to investigation

1300123_fff2-6486729-2979698Detectives of the Reno Police Department Sex Crimes Unit began receiving reports in November of inappropriate touching by a nurse’s assistant during pre-employment screenings at a local clinic. An investigation was launched as additional patients began to report similar incidents.

The defendant was contacted and admitted to not following proper procedures that resulted in the inappropriate contact. The defendant, identified as Jose Alberto Machado, 27, was booked for five counts of (NRS 201.210) Open & Gross Lewdness.

The Reno Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance. Anyone having information relating to this crime or the suspect(s) should contact the Reno Police Department at 334-2115, Secret Witness at 322-4900 or www.secretwitness.com, or text the tip to 847411 (TIP 411) keyword – SW.
