Galaxy Luxury+ IMAX at the Legends at Sparks Marina is offering moviegoers two opportunities to experience northern Nevada’s first IMAX theatre before it officially opens its doors. The theatre will show the 2013 Superman flick “Man of Steel” in IMAX 3D with all the proceeds from ticket sales benefiting two northern Nevada charities.

·      On Sunday, Feb. 9, at 3 p.m., proceeds raised will go to Michael Landsberry’s family through the Nevada Military Support Alliance.

·      On Tuesday, Feb. 11, at 7 p.m., proceeds raised will go to the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows.

Tickets will cost $15 and include a free popcorn and soft drink. Advance purchase is recommended and can be done by visiting GalaxyTheatres.com.

“It is very important to us to meet our new community,” Rafe Cohen, president of Galaxy Theatres, said. “We are honored to be able to support two important causes and offer the northern Nevada community the opportunity to experience IMAX prior to the grand opening.”

Galaxy Luxury+ IMAX Sparks will officially open on Wednesday, Feb. 12, with a 12:01 a.m. screening of “RoboCop” in IMAX. Tickets and reserved seating are available for purchase now by visiting GalaxyTheatres.com.
