City evaluating golf facilities

cityofreno-3009007-2977788Based on the Reno City Council’s priority to provide efficient services, the city reviews its operations and facilities on a regular basis.

As a part of that on-going process, the city engaged golf operations expert, James Keegan, managing principal of Golf Convergence, Inc., to evaluate the Rosewood Lakes Municipal Golf Course and compare its fiscal health to regional and national trends.

The Reno City Council will hear the presentation is hearing today about it during the City Council meeting, which started at noon in the City Hall Council Chambers, 1 East First Street.

There is no formal City Council action to be taken at the meeting. The City is encouraging residents to go to Reno.gov/ThinkReno and express their opinions about Rosewood Lakes Golf Course. Residents can also call Reno Direct, 334-INFO.

Attached is a breakdown of the Golf Course revenues and expenses from fiscal years 2007-2014.
