BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB NEWS RELEASE TRUCKEE – The Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows celebrates 34 years of Cioppino at the annual Jack T. Reviglio Cioppino Feed and Auction, Saturday, February 22 at the Donald W. Reynolds Facility. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. for the silent auction followed by dinner and live auction at 6:30 p.m.
The Cioppino Feed remains the Club’s signature fundraiser, bringing in almost 15% of the annual budget and impacting the lives of thousands of local children. The star of the evening is the cioppino, which is still made from scratch by Bud Sorensen, Bob Capurro and a talented team of Italian cooks. The silent and live auctions feature more than 500 unique items and experiences that you can’t find anywhere else. The event is one of the most widely attended and celebrated fundraisers in the community, gathering 1,600 of northern Nevada’s top business and civic leaders to support the kids at the Boys & Girls Club.
“Cioppino is a one-of-a-kind event and experience with tremendous tradition amongst the attendees, volunteers and staff,” said Mike Wurm, Chief Professional Officer of the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows. “The contributions we receive for this event are vital to support the mission of the Boys & Girls Club. This year Cioppino helps us serve more than 12,000 Club members regardless of their financial situation, helping us shape future generations into responsible, civic-minded members of our community.”
Tickets for the event are $200 per person or $1,600 for a table of eight. Tickets are available to the public Jan. 20.
