Need 2 Speed electric indoor go-kart racing is now open at 6895-B Sierra Center Parkway — next to the Target in south Reno.

The new go-kart center offers kids’ karts capable of 25 mph and adult karts capable of 45 mph.

The Need 2 Speed track offers a Grand Prix-style racing experience. Electronic scoring allows drivers to measure their skills against others who have raced at Need 2 Speed. Guests can race for fastest time of the week, fastest time of the month or try for the top of the Need 2 Speed ranking system. Scores also are accessible through the Need 2 Speed website.

The facility also has private rooms for corporate meetings, birthday parties and other social and team-building events.
