Sheriff’s detectives arrest Reno man for felony child abuse

washoe_county_sheriffs_office_log-4376724-2542368The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Detective Division arrested Charles Burke Wholey, 24, of Reno yesterday on a felony count of Child Abuse Causing Substantial Bodily Harm for an incident in which the victim was the suspect’s infant son.

The victim was brought to a local emergency room on Tuesday. Detectives were called to investigate, and the investigation has led to the arrest of Wholey.

This is still an ongoing investigation, and no additional details may be released at this time. Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Detective Division at (775) 328-3320 or Secret Witness at (775) 322-4900.
