RPD NEWS RELEASE
An 18-month-old child was reported missing from his grandmother’s home in Stead about 9 this morning. RPD patrol officers began a search for the child.
Resources dispatched to assist in the search included WCSO RAVEN (helicopter), WCSO Search and Rescue, RPD detectives, WCSO K9 and other patrol entities.
An hour and a half later the child was located several blocks away in an unoccupied residence. He was not injured in any way and has been reunited with his parents.
The investigation is ongoing, and no foul play is suspected at this time.
