Bill and Connie in the Morning team up to help women and children this holiday season

Mom and her kidAMERICAN BROADCASTING NEWS RELEASE – It’s the time of year again for “Step Up the Holidays for STEP 2,” Bill and Connie in the Morning are teaming up with STEP 2 again to collect donations of basic household, kitchen and baby items on November 25 and 26.

STEP 2 is a local organization that helps women and their families in recovery. STEP 2 is a comprehensive substance abuse treatment program that provides women and children suffering from addiction, poverty and domestic violence the opportunity to rebuild their lives. Bill and Connie are also teaming up with PODS of Reno, the moving and storage experts to make donating even easier this year.

Donation suggestions include women’s and children’s winter clothing, shoes and coats, microwave ovens, vacuums, bedding, towels, baby blankets, car seats, strollers, pillows, kitchenware, beds (twin and double/full), dressers, alarm clocks, telephones. Large furniture donations are accepted with pickup available by calling STEP 2 directly at 775-787-9411.

On Monday, November 25, donations can be made at the following locations:

6:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. – Einstein Brothers/Yoshow Yogurt – 5050 Kietzke Lane, in Reno.
11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. – Fitness for 10 – 829 Fairview Drive, in Carson City.
3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. – Tamarack Junction – 13101 .S. Virgina Street, in Reno.

On Tuesday, November 26, donations can be made at the following locations:

6:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. – Consign Furniture – 2335 Market Street, in Reno.
11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. – Qdoba – 151 Disc Drive, in Sparks.
3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. – Massage Envy – 5110 MaeAnne Avenue, in Reno.
