image001-8223698-2346980Coming off a thrilling 45-42 comeback win over Air Force, the Nevada football teams hits the road on a short week to play San Diego State in a nationally televised matchup Friday night.  The last time the two teams met the Aztecs took a 39-38 overtime win in Mackay Stadium.  This year’s matchup will be broadcast on ESPN and marks Nevada’s only scheduled non-Saturday game of the year.  Wolf Pack wide receiver Brandon Wimberly will be looking to extend streaks of consecutive games with a reception (45) and consecutive games with a touchdown catch (4).  Quarterback Cody Fajardo is coming off a brilliant performance against Air Force in which he accounted for 470 yards of total offense and five touchdowns.

Nevada is one of just two teams nationally that has started three different quarterbacks this year as Cody Fajardo (two), Devin Combs (one) and Tyler Stewart (one) have all made starts in the Pistol offense this year.
