Landsberry memorial set for Nov. 3

CARSON CITY — Master Sgt. Michael Landsberry, the teacher killed in Monday’s tragic shooting at Sparks Middle School, is set to be memorialized in a celebration of life in Sparks on Nov. 3. A viewing is also scheduled for Nov. 2. Both events are open to the public.

WHEN: Saturday, Nov. 2, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.

WHERE: Walton’s Funeral Home, 1745 Sullivan Lane, Sparks

WHAT: Celebration of Life

WHO: Master Sgt. Michael Landsberry

WHEN: Sunday, Nov. 3, at 3 p.m.

WHERE: Sparks Christian Fellowship, 510 Greenbrae Drive, Sparks

During the celebration of life, Landsberry’s casket will be present and he will receive full military honors including an honor guard 21-gun salute and the presentation of national colors to his family. Family and officials including Gov. Brian Sandoval are set to provide remarks during the celebration of life.
