The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office will hold the third in a series of community safety meetings for Sun Valley residents at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 22, in the Sun Valley Landowner’s Association Building at 5360 Sun Valley Blvd.
Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Reserve Lieutenant Teresa Aquila hosts the meetings as part of efforts by the Sheriff’s Office to partner with the community to reduce crime. During the meetings, Aquila will provide information about programs such as Alert ID that help keep residents safer along with a variety of personal safety tips.
Aquila said she also plans to discuss how to be a good witness at Sunday’s meeting.
“These meetings are part of the Sheriff’s Office ongoing partnership with the community, working together to help make neighborhoods safer,” Reserve Lieutenant Aquila said.
