DISCOVERY MUSEUM NEWS RELEASE – Monday, September 2, visitors to the Terry Lee Wells Nevada Discovery Museum (The Discovery) can take part in a variety of fizzing, spewing and exploding experiments. The event is entitled The Discovery’s “Summer Blowout.”
Experiments and demonstrations during the Summer Blowout event will include Mentos® geysers, edible food bombs, elephant toothpaste, and more.
“This event is going to be exciting for The Discovery’s visitors,” said Sarah Gobbs-Hill, Programming & Education Manager. “There are a lot of very interesting and engaging experiments that can be done with ordinary household chemicals.”
The Discovery is open 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays, 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sundays, and 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Monday, September 2. Beginning Monday, September 9, The Discovery will be closed on Mondays.
Additionally, Bubble Week at The Discovery includes hands-on activities such as boo bubbles, bubble wand making, snake bubble charming and more.
